Farstad Orders New OSCV Farstad Shipping ASA subsidiary, Farstad Supply AS, contracts with STX OSV AS for an Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel (OSCV). This new building is part of Farstad Shipping’s expansion into the subsea market and represents an investment of approx NOK 825 mill. Delivery of the vessel is due to take place in the first quarter of 2015. The vessel is a STX OSV OSCV 07 design OSCV  and is designed for subsea and IMR operations (Inspection, Maintenance and Repair).

Meraas Development LLC has again contracted Van Oord to build an island in the emirate of Dubai. Jumana Island will lie 500 metres off the coast and will be used for urban development. A bridge will connect the island to the coast. The contract is worth approximately EUR 100 million.

Pallas Group have extended the time charter contract for MV Pallas Ocean which ended January 31, 2013. The new contract runs until December 31, 2013.
MV Pallas Ocean will continue transport bulk for Thun companies industry clients, especially Akzo Nobel.
This will be the sixed year that MV Pallas Ocean sails for Thun in the ownership of Pallas. The parties have also agreed of a raise of 4 % against last year, which is considerably more than the index.
