FPSO bwoffshore

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Handle analytical review of financial statements
  • Prepare audited financial statements, audit schedules and liaise with auditors accordingly
  • Prepare periodic financial report for reporting to joint venture partners and / or banks
  • Prepare and monitor funding position of assigned vessels and / or companies
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and business partners on the performance of assigned vessels and / or companies
  • Participate in the monthly review and closing process
  • Handle tax compliance submission, prepare journal entries and maintain accounting schedules as appropriate
  • Maintain fixed assets information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Perform revaluation and allocation function in Oracle system as appropriate
  • Conduct checks to ensure accuracy of the system generated information
  • Actively participate and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Accounting or professional qualification in Accounting
  • 3 – 5 years work experience in accounting related roles with 1 – 2 years work experience in an audit firm
  • Working knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards required
  • Prior experience in system change / implementation required
  • Most recent work experience should include:
    • Analytical review of financial statements
    • Preparation of financial reports
    • Preparation of audit schedules and liaison with auditors
  • Strong computer skills and experience in computerized accounting / ERP systems preferred
  • Prior experience in shipping industry and / or shared service centre will be an advantage
  • Mature and strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable in handling high volume work in a face paced environment
  • Able to commence immediately or within short notice
