Job Description

Works with the pipeline design team on onshore and offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC; EPCM projects. Has overall responsibility for the man hour & schedule monitoring and control and quality of the work produced.

  • Prepares scope of work, man hour and cost estimates for proposals.
  • Mentors young pipeline engineers and provide advice to peers In his field of expertise.
  • Develops pipeline design basis.
  • Prepares pipeline material, coating, testing and installation specifications.
  • Prepares pipeline material requisition, perform technical bid evaluation; analysis and vendor data review.
  • Performs pipelines design activities.

Job Requirements


  • At least degree level qualifications in Mechanical, Marine, Civil, or Structural Engineering.


  • 12 years experience in pipeline engineering design work in Oil &Gas.
  • Knowledge of Finite Element analysis ( FEA )
  • Experience in ABAQUS, ORCAFLEX, Sage Profile, flexible pipes and umbilical is an advantage.


  • It is essential that the candidate is a competent user of pipeline engineering software – AGA, CAESAR /I & MATHCAD.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to lead and function as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to maintain clear understanding of design issues, progress and objectives is required.
